How the Knowledge Center is built

Editorial Standards

The process behind every article in the Vantage Knowledge Center, and the standards it's held to.

1How Articles Are Researched

Every article starts from direct, hands-on industry experience: a decade of director-level work across legal operations, settlement operations, negotiation, compliance, payment processing, and consumer support in the debt resolution industry. That experience is checked against current regulatory sources, including FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule guidance for debt relief services, before anything is published.

2How Articles Are Reviewed

Each article is reviewed for accuracy, neutrality, and clarity before it's published, and revisited periodically afterward. When a regulation changes, a program requirement shifts, or an article is found to be unclear, it gets updated. Every article carries a "Last Reviewed" date and an editorial credit so you always know who stands behind it.

3Commitment to Factual Accuracy

Articles describe how debt settlement, credit, and collections actually work, including the parts that are inconvenient for a lead generation business to admit. Where a claim depends on state law, your specific creditor, or your specific numbers, the article says so rather than offering a false universal answer.

4Commitment to Transparency

Vantage discloses plainly how it makes money, what it does and doesn't do, and what happens to your information if you use the screening tool. See Why Trust Vantage for the full breakdown.

5Commitment to Neutrality

Articles are written to help you evaluate debt settlement against every real alternative, including credit counseling, debt management plans, bankruptcy, and doing nothing. The goal is an informed decision, not a predetermined one.

6Commitment to Consumer Education

Content exists to educate, not to pressure. Nothing in the Knowledge Center is written to create urgency or fear. If an article ever reads that way, it doesn't meet our standard and it gets fixed.
